What To Expect At Engage Southwest

Below we have answered some of the most frequently asked questions people ask before visiting our church. We hope you can find some of the answers you are looking for before you visit us or at least get a feel for what to expect when you arrive. If your questions are still unanswered please send us a question on our 'Contact Us' page.

How do I get into the church?

As you enter our church grounds there is free on-site parking right next to our building to ensure you have a safe place to park your car. As you enter the church building you will be greeted with a warm and friendly smile from a member of our welcome team who will answer any questions you may have. The services will then start at 10.am and again at 11.15 for the second service and due to the Covid 19 restrictions, we are having two shorter services. Those with children should try to come to the first service if possible.

*If you are disabled, we have disabled access both outside and inside the church building.

What will the service be like and how long will it last?

Our services usually last around an hour and a half but due to Covid 19 regulations on social we have moved to two 45 min services the first at 10am and the second at 11.15 AM. The services contain 2 main elements: Worship & Teaching.

The service will normally start with worship, in which we have a band who passionately lead us into praise and worship by playing and singing contemporary, up to date songs. In this time we are encouraged to participate and connect with God.

The teaching part of the service will most likely follow the worship. This is where we hear a talk, also known as a sermon based on the bible from a pastor, church member or visiting speaker. The message will be relevant, thought provoking and life impacting.

Your children between the ages of 3-11 can go to Gforce (IN THE RECEPTION AREA) where we can ensure your children are in a safe environment where they will be engaged in lots of activities such as praise time, crafts, games, lessons and so much more! (All leaders and volunteers involved have been CRB checked). However, if you would prefer your kids stay with you during the service then that is also okay.

What about my children?

Do I have to give an offering?

No, you are by no means obliged to give an offering at any of our services. However, if you feel the urge to give then we would love you to feel that you can be involved.
