Welcome to Engage Saltash! We trust you will find a home with us.
I'm so pleased you have visited our site and are taking the time to read this. Our page can give you information and a taste of what to expect but nothing compares to the real thing. It's a bit like reading all about Jesus, knowing the facts and figures but never actually encountering Him in person. So what are you waiting for? Get down to the Core this Sunday for an experience like no other! Jenny x
Engage Saltash was established in May 2015. It grew as local Christians desired to live out their faith in a relevant way and be part of a vibrant, spirit-filled, life-giving local church which loved God and loved others. Jenny Wreford, who is pastoring the church, experienced a dramatic conversion over 20 years ago and remains passionate about sharing the reality of the God who loves her. Her vision is to see a strong, dynamic church established - people living in and transformed by the power of God - bringing the truth and grace of the gospel to the community with healings, signs and wonders.
We’re not called the ‘family’ of God for nothing! A healthy church comprises all the elements of family from the very young to the more advanced in years.
A crèche area is currently available during our services and we encourage the whole family to join in with the singing of God’s praise.
Did you miss 'Shake Up Your Half-Term!'? Then don't miss our next Family Service - This Sunday 24th March, 10:30am @ The Core.
We love to just 'do life' together, the ladies particularly enjoying walks, breakfasts and cream teas!
If you would like to meet up with others to have fun and faith combined, you would be more than welcome. Contact us for further details.
Take this opportunity to connect with others in an informal setting. Meeting in various homes across the town this is a time to encourage one another, build relationships and be strengthened with Bible based teaching. Wednesdays 7.30pm.
Love - Laugh - Live
Derek and Christine Voice have lived in Saltash since 2001 and lead the homes ministry. They were appointed chaplains within the Assemblies of God church in 2008. Their chaplaincy began at the request of a social worker to minister to residents of a nursing home in Plymouth. This ministry expanded and at the beginning of 2016 they were involved in 6 establishments in the Plymouth area. They have subsequently released their Plymouth ministry to others in order to give their attention to residents of Saltash and are currently partnering with four Saltash homes.
If you would like to know more about this ministry or know of someone who would like a visit, please contact us.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks;”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
As a church we believe prayer is foundational to our lives. We encourage people to pray individually and corporately for personal needs, community concerns and international issues. As well as prayer being a key part of all our activities, there is always an opportunity to receive prayer during our services and we hold a weekly ‘Hour of Prayer’ and special healing services.
If you are in need today, please contact us and we will pray with you confidentially.
From Saltash, Cornwall we are actively supporting overseas communities. The churches in Africa are growing at a tremendous rate and the pastors, themselves young in the faith, are in desperate need of sound Bible based teaching material to furnish strong congregations. ‘The Pastors Manual’ has been written specifically for this purpose. It provides guidance, structure and inspirational teaching and with the help of Engage Saltash and other partners it has been printed and distributed to hundreds of pastors in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. Pastors Manual now translated into French! This will help many pastors in Burundi and beyond. For further information and details of conferences just taken place in Rwanda in March 2019, visit www.recoveryministries.co.uk
