Welcome to Engage Saltash!
Welcome to the Engage Saltash page! Thank you for having a look!
In July 2019 the church was passed over to Daniele and Rebekah Corolaita, who had been serving at the local church in Malta until they moved back to England in April 2019 after God clearly told them it was time to leave Malta. When they arrived in the U.K. they weren't quite sure why God had brought them back, but when the opportunity came up to help out and lead Engage Saltash, they knew part of God's purpose for bringing them back to England.
"When we were approached about leading Engage Saltash, it was completely unexpected! We never saw ourselves as pastors or leading a church, but looking back over our lives, we've seen that God has been training us, and continues to do so for the journey ahead. We are humbled to be able to serve this wonderful community and our biggest desire is to show Christ's love through word and deed and to serve wherever we can." - Rebekah C.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks;”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
As a church we believe prayer is foundational to our lives. We encourage people to pray individually and corporately for personal needs, community concerns and international issues. As well as prayer being a key part of all our activities, there is always an opportunity to receive prayer during our services.
We have a weekly prayer meeting on Tuesdays at 10:30. Please contact us for the details.
If you are in need today, please contact us and we will pray with you confidentially.
We would just like to honour Derek and Christine Voice who have lived in Saltash since 2001 and led the homes ministry during that time. They were appointed chaplains within the Assemblies of God church in 2008. Their chaplaincy began at the request of a social worker to minister to residents of a nursing home in Plymouth. This ministry expanded and at the beginning of 2016 they were involved in 6 establishments in the Plymouth area. They released their Plymouth ministry to others in order to give their attention to residents of Saltash. This last year, they decided to step down from this ministry due to medical reasons and spending time with their family.
We want to thank them for their many years of ministry and sacrifice and we continue to appreciate them as they begin this next season in their lives.
During the winter we take a pause with the Link group while we focus on our prayer meetings.
Love - Laugh - Live
From Saltash, Cornwall we are actively supporting overseas communities. The churches in Africa are growing at a tremendous rate and the pastors, themselves young in the faith, are in desperate need of sound Bible based teaching material to furnish strong congregations. ‘The Pastors Manual’ has been written specifically for this purpose. It provides guidance, structure and inspirational teaching and with the help of Engage Saltash and other partners it has been printed and distributed to hundreds of pastors in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. Pastors Manual now translated into French! This will help many pastors in Burundi and beyond. For further information and details of conferences just taken place in Rwanda in March 2019, visit www.recoveryministries.co.uk
